This is Cwnn (Cat With No Name) she's an amazing outdoor-living Los Angeles City cat who passed away on Nov 10 2013 at the age of 19. Having been an outdoor city cat for most of her life, you might surmise she was a bit smarter than the rest, and that's true. Cwnny showed her intelligence at a young age, purposely interfering when one of her siblings tries to run into the street, cutting them off and redirecting them safely back to the yard, instinctively understanding the street is dangerous. One winter she developed explosive diarrhea while sick in the house; in the middle-of-the-night and too far from the litter box, Cwnny jumped into the bath tub right before the stinky mess shot from her behind. I remember her looking up at me with sad eyes when I entered the room, knowing that pooping in the house is wrong, and I quickly praised her for her most intelligent choice of location. Cwnny staked out a territory encompassing our yard and the next door neighbor's, and she fiercly defended it from all challengers. Cwnny successfully avoided being dinner for the packs of coyotes that make the streets of LA their hunting ground at night, and she was obsessed with keeping her coat clean, constantly licking and grooming it to perfection, not a hair ever out of place.
